Heading to Honduras…sounds simple right?  Osvaldo, a nice older man from one of the churches in Camotan, offered to give us a ride to La Ceiba, Honduras.  We figured that instead of paying a bus service, we could instead ride with Osvaldo and help his family out.  We thoroughly enjoyed getting to know Osvaldo, his daughter and his son-in-law.  We had PLENTY of time to get to know each of them…12 hours to be exact.  We expected the trip to take about 6 hours and instead we were able to make great new friends on our 12 hour journey.  Don and Isaiah rode with Darles (Osvaldo’s son-in-law) in the back of the small truck.  Lille, Eva and I bonded with Osvaldo and his daughter, Alma, in the small cab of the truck.  I will post a picture to give you a better idea of our “adventure”.   I wish I could also show you the muddy water that Don and Isaiah washed out of their hair that night.  I’m sure the ride in a bus would’ve been far too boring for our family.

We made it to La Ceiba and enjoyed pizza with our new friends.  And now we are in Honduras….

Thank you for the photos of Mylee and how the people live in contrast to the beauty of the natural world around them. Lile’s nail salon photos, Eva with tattoos, Isaiah in soccer make the people real. Praying Papa will continue to open doors for each of you to share Jesus’ love.

I can picture the truck, but can’t imagine a 12 hr ride in it! Bet the roads were not smooth, and there were 12 hrs of bumps. But you are still in good humor…..what an adventure. Bless you, Rick Z
