We made it home! After leaving Honduras on December 24 at 1 pm and traveling through Miami, Atlanta, Dallas…we made it to Madison, WI on Christmas Day. We were welcomed with VERY cold weather, snow, and friends and family at the airport.
It is a lot to take in as we are still processing all the experiences we had in Guatemala and Honduras. We look forward to taking the time to share these adventures and putting all those pictures in order!
We are truly overwhelmed with the support of our friends and family. The encouragement before our trip from those that supported us financially and cheered us on to pursue “the adventure” were used by God. We then received numerous emails with reminders that people were praying while we were gone. And now we return home to food in the fridge, snacks in the pantry and presents under the tree! AMAZING the love we feel!
As we reflect on the joy of celebrating Jesus’ birth on Christmas Day, we have seen the realness of relying on Him who was sent as the Savior of the world. The HOPE that we find in the birth of a baby 2000 years ago is real. Our LOVE for Jesus continues to grow as we rely more fully on Him for our future. The JOY we have in knowing that our salvation is firm by His grace and overwhelming love of each of us.
