We are back into the full swing of life…soccer, school, friends, fun, and work. We also are moving tomorrow. We had a great set-up while we were gone (we were able to leave all of our stuff in the townhouse we had been renting and move back in upon our arrival back in Madison). We have put an offer in on a house here in Madison and should hear tomorrow whether they accept. Until we can move in, we are enjoying all of our close family relations and visiting with Beth’s sister and Don’s family.
Life on the homefront is busy, but we also are in the midst of making some HUGE progress with launching the online store for The Yada Project. This is very exciting to see the pieces coming together. We will have products ready to be purchased in early June and have orders arriving from Ecuador, Peru, Argentina and Chile in the next few weeks. We will let you know when we are fully up and running!
One of the things we have strived for, is to stay connected to the people and organizations we built relationships with in South America. Thanks to technology this is easier, but still not the same as sitting down with a new friend and enjoying a cup of coffee. We are reminded of our joy meeting these new friends and look forward to continuing the friendships.
Our next big “assignment” is a presentation on June 8. Join us on June 8 from 12:30-2 pm for lunch at High Point Church. Have you ever sat through a long, boring slideshow of someone’s vacation photos? If not, consider yourself lucky. If so, we promise to NOT be that. We will do our best at making it short, interesting and use only a few slides. 🙂
We are overwhelmingly thankful for so many that are willing to help us make the day a success. It is amazing to see how The Yada Project is not about us, but really about God’s plan for connecting people around the globe to serve one another.
