Time flies when you are having fun!

18 Nov

June 13, 2014…5 months.  That is how long it has been since our last post.  I remember thinking in July I should write an update on all that was happening with the Williams; and then thinking in August how many cool things were happening with The Yada Project that I should keep everyone up to date on; September was a blur of school, soccer, a broken nose, moving, settling in; October was making plans for an upcoming trip and now it is November.  So although I may be late…it is still better than never.

One of the main goals of The Yada Project is to showcase  ways God is at work in the world AND connect people.  Since our return from South America, we have connected with 12 different people we met in Ecuador, Argentina and Chile.  Who knew Madison was going to be such a central location?!?  It has been so cool to see our vision for connecting being put to use as we bridge our worlds.  It is also amazing to see how some simple introductions are blossoming into partnerships for the Kingdom.

One example is a friend of Isaiah’s, who is a senior at Middleton High School, thinking about what he wanted to do after graduation.  We had told him all about a great hospitality/trekking ministry in Argentina.  He was intrigued and wanted to hear more.  He spent the day with us when one of our friends from Argentina was here and is now excited to take the next steps to volunteering for a year in Argentina.  We are confident that both will benefit from that year!

Gosh, there is so much I want to fill you in on…GREAT things are happening!  God is at work around us and around the world. I plan to fill you in on a few of those things over the next few weeks.  For now, let this be a chance for you to remember who the Williams are!  🙂

One other quick thing though: If you are in Madison TONIGHT, November 18, stop by Yola’s Café to see all that is new with The Yada Project.   We will be there to show off new partnerships with ministries around the world (Pakistan, Africa, Ecuador, Peru, etc).  Stop by anytime between 5:30-8:30 pm!
