Happy New Year!

04 Jan

Good-bye 2015…to wrap up the year, I would have to say that it was a year of development.  We have continued to pursue the idea of The Yada Project.  We are on a learning curve that we have never experienced.  Sometimes it is overwhelming, sometimes it is fulfilling, but mostly it is just a faith-filled step by step process.

After our return from Southeast Asia, we have contemplated what we saw and experienced and who we met.  The relationships built in those 6 weeks have flourished and we have regular contact with many we met.

The partnerships with people in the Philippines have allowed them to count on The Yada Project for regular orders.  As they count on regular orders, they begin to hope of breaking out of survival mode.  The group of women we work with make hand-made purses and bags.  The Yada Project purchases the products outright from them and the money made allows their children to attend the Christian School in their community.  Education is empowerment…and it is happening.

Welcome 2016!  We are eager to see how 2016 unfolds.  The Yada Project is invested all around the world.  As we pray about how best to continue to support missions around the world, we see POTENTIAL.  God is at work…I know I say that all the time, but sometimes you can feel it, right?  Our goal with The Yada Project is not to just sell cool stuff from around the world.  It is to bring a holistic approach to sharing the Gospel…being invested in the lives of people.  Caring enough for them that they would see Jesus offers life…and He cares about all aspects of their life.

Whether you live down the street from me or on the other side of the world, the message is the same.  Jesus offers life.  Life filled with hope and a future.  I am watching people all around me investing in the life of people.  (Through adoption, The Jesus Lunch, racial reconciliation, the list goes on…)  It is life-changing for everyone involved.

As we take our next steps for The Yada Project, we are eager.  Eager to see who we will meet, where we will go, what we will do and how God will reveal more of HIS plan for The Yada Project.
