We stepped off a plane from Indonesia 1 month ago…it has been a FULL month! It often feels like we jumped from a frying pan in Indonesia into a fire storm here in Madison.
As we have encountered opposition to The Jesus Lunch, we have felt more steadfast and encouraged than ever before. The overwhelming support and sincere comments from students has shown us the value The Jesus Lunch has made in lives. Our intent was never to spark controversy or even attract hundreds of students…but it has become both.
In Psalms 16:11 David writes, “You will show me the path of life; in YOUR presence there is fullness of joy.” That verse has provided vision, comfort, and clarification of purpose. “Fullness of joy…” I love that phrase. My emotions and feelings over the past few months have been a rollercoaster…overwhelmed, weary, sympathetic, confused, fear. There has never been a time, though, that I have not been confident of the Lord’s leading in the life of the Williams. He IS showing us the path of life and in that there IS fullness of JOY.
J-Jesus. O-Others. Y-You.= JOY. Simple.
